Update 3 Teachers released at end of year
Yes 3 teachers are considered non elected at end of school year, since they did not resign.
The facts are clear that previous principal/administrator recommendation for 3 Teachers for not re-hire (non re-elect). This was done before he was removed as principal. District and Board are aware that his nomination was somewhat tainted but waiting for investigation to be over to decide what to do.
Some are asking for us to wait for investigation to be over in about 2 weeks.
Non re-elect is common practice that all District do, but this is uncommon situation since none of 3 teachers had anything bad on record. Very unusual for 3 at same school!
Joe and Christina are surprised the 3 didn’t take the deal to resign as 7 other non tenured teachers did, since Board was told they would have been hired back per District.
The problem they didn’t tell the 3 teachers that they would for sure be rehired and get to finish out year with students. so all three decided not to resign so they could finish out the year with the kids! True integrity!
The board was told different that they would be hired back. This is a common practice for them to save money so they don’t get tenure…
Enfield told a parent that he was sorry that he put Bennett into the position and gave us a leader that was not up to the task. So hopefully the investigation is going in their favor.
The district and board just keep saying they have to trust the Administrators they put into power. Seems board had blinders on not wanting to see the truth. One mom thought she was finally making some progress with Christina Gagnier and she was seeing the real truth. Another Mom talking to Enfield felt like he was listening.
The teachers went to the board on November 19th of last year. They are trying to play the I didn’t realize how bad it was until January card. So clearly some board members knew about it and even recognized in speaking at the end of the meeting.
